Bespoke Solutions

MSD Informatics provides bespoke services to Primary Care Organisations assisting them with the collection of datasets from primary care and with data warehousing to enable analysis of data for secondary uses.

We work closely with Abbeylex Services Ltd (My Surgery Website) to provide customisable practice websites and intranets.

QOF Solutions

MSD Informatics has developed bespoke applications for the NHS in Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man to collect and analyse Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) data from the General Medical Services (GMS) contract.

The software utilizes the QOF achievement reports sent automatically from the General Practices' clinical computer systems such as EMIS, Vision, iSOFT, TPP etc. These reports contain no patient identifiable data and are sent via NHS internal secure networks to central points in each home country where the MSD Informatics software resides. The reports comprise an XML format message containing:

• Unique Practice Identifier
• Disease register sizes
• Performance for each QOF indicator (as numerator and denominator)
• The number and type of exceptions recorded for each indicator

Practice results can then be viewed using a standard web browser. Each practice has a unique logon to view their own results.

The example above shows the Scorecard and Graph, where results, trends, points and income can all be viewed.

Primary Care Organisations using the software can also view their practices' information and sign-off their achievements at the end of the year for payment.
