MSDi Clinical Manager

What is Clinical Manager?

Clinical Manager installed at the practice will automatically extract clinical data from the practice management system (compatible with EMIS, iSoft, Vision, GPASS) and process it using over 1800 pre-authored searches to provide detailed information to the practice across a range of national and local priorities.

Clincal Manager comprises three separate modules:

  • Clinical Risk
  • Clinical Audit
  • Contract Manager

Clinical RiskThe Clinical Risk module filters those patients that currently do not have CVD and assesses their future risk by applying algorithms and look-up tables provided by the University of Birmingham which are based on Framingham with a South Asian Male Weighting. Using the module you can prioritise patients by their risk, use mail merge facilities to ask patients to make appointments for a review and monitor their progress over time

Clinical AuditThe Clinical Audit module for example provides in depth analysis for the CHD and Diabetes NSFs, ethnicity, smoking, obesity and the QOF plus many more priority areas. The software will help the practice track each month how well they are performing in reaching their targets. Automated feeds are also available to export anonymised data to the PCT.

Contract ManagerThe Contract Manager module helps the practice achieve their QOF targets and enables them to make best use their resources by filtering high priority patients according to treatment plans. The forecasting ability of Contract Manager has been enhanced so the practice can more easily choose which months to forecast to and then generate reports on.
